***Cons***
One Connect Cable is shorter then previous models (12 ft) so plan ahead when mounting. Certified fiber optic HDMI 2.1 recommended which comes with a heavy price. Stock speakers distort with low frequencies (better off with home theatre amp or sound bar). The remote is made from recycled plastic and feels cheap. Good for sustainability but expected more this is dubbed a “flagship” product. Got a stuck / bright red pixel caused by a malfunction in the transistor which allows light through sub pixels. This requires “pixel refreshing” which takes an hour.
***UPDATE Jan 2024***
Random HDMI signal drops started occurring more frequently during regular media playback and device power up. I would have to power cycle sound bar and TV to resolve each time. Returned the 65″ model and purchased an 77″ S95CA with no immediate issues using the same cables.

Despite turning off all power saving and auto features the picture will randomly darken and then lighten a few seconds later.
Trying to change from one input source to another is a huge pain. I’m constantly staring at a streaming app that I’m done watching and the screen prompts say it has changed to the selected input hdmi but the app just displays even though the input device has been turned on. It never switches the video to the new input.
The separate media and gaming home pages are cumbersome to navigate between, don’t communicate well and not intuitively designed.
I was excited to get into the high end OLED display and truly enjoy my gaming and movies, and this dam thing has me just wanting to give it all up and go outside.
Biggest waste of money ever for the headaches this set is shipped with.

But I already had so much Samsung accessories I decided to just stick with the brand. I wasn’t disappointed. The apps on the TV work so well I started using them over my PS5 because it was faster and easier.
My previous TV was a 2016 or so model, but I’m really impressed by this one. I don’t see the need to use any other device to stream. The picture is great, and you get the OLED’s real blacks and colors that pop. So far, it’s been a great TV.

– The display is incredibly bright for an OLED. Makes my 2016 LG OLED look completely dull by comparison. Vivid colors and deep blacks. I read 1,300 nits of peak brightness, and I believe it.
– Samsung’s OLED technology is allegedly more resistant to burn in than LG’s, and slightly brighter, which made me go Samsung after years with LG.
– The input box with single connector to TV is well thought out. 4 HDMI ports plus all the expected other ports at this price range
– I like the space gray color of the back, and of course it is very slim as all OLEDs are
Cons:
– Compared to LG software, Samsung software is bloatware. They want you to use the software and services they are pushing. XBOX advertisements are one sponsored item you’re exposed to on this very expensive TV. Also not sure what Ion TV is, but I am sure I do not like having it start playing every single time I turn on my TV. I use Apple TV with the Samsung tv and much prefer the Apple interface.
-Samsung remote does not get along with my Sonos speaker. I have read elsewhere that the Samsung remote doesn’t pair well with Sonos which is a major bummer. I’ve been using my Apple TV remote and Sonos app to control volume.
– Another unfeature is the lack of ability to adjust inputs easily either on the remote or on the tv menu. I don’t think you can do it at all on the remote (Samsung, please let me know if I’m wrong), and on the TV you have to navigate to “connected devices”, all the way at the bottom of the menu in smaller font than everything Samsung is pushing.
Verdict:
Overall I’m happy with the product because the display is simply jaw-dropping. I just wish Samsung prioritized “connected devices” more in the use of the TV.
Tip: In all settings under “connection” and then “external device manager”, turn on any net+ (aka CEC) and input signal plus for all HDMI inputs to get everything working best.
Edit: My unit started malfunctioning and cutting the picture when playing video. It also began to display streaks of light on the screen. I returned it but ordered another, hoping it doesn’t have the same issue. Make sure when ordering this TV from Amazon the seller is Amazon – they have the best return policy.
