This has been a horrible experience, wish I could rate the product but after botched delivery attempts without messaging, not delivered when promised and when finally arrives I had to chase the FedEx guy for a block because even though I answered the vestibule-phone he left before I got down to the lobby of my apartment building. So instead of getting on 4/26 as originally promised, I finally got it on 4/30 and took the time to set it up but any app I choose gets “Smart Hub is being updated.” message. So have been on the phone, in text message and in online Samsung support chat for 3 hours this morning while they all have me go through the exact same troubleshooting steps repeatedly that do nothing to resolve it. I get a Samsung rep on the phone who remotes-in and does all the checking and troubleshooting steps himself on my screen, reboots, etc. but problem is still not resolved, I still can’t use any apps. So his solution is to have a service rep come out but the earliest is 5/6 which means I have no functional tv for the next 5 days after spending $2k+, waiting 4 days, spending hours setting up and several more hours on the phone with Samsung reps who could not get the apps to work. I actually do use my tv for cardio workouts which is necessary for my health but now have to wait 5 days just to use this brand new tv. this whole situation STINKS.

I had an LG OLED 4k 48″ as a monitor but after 4 years of use, there was some burn in. So I got the newest LG OLED because I liked the picture quality. In a nutshell, the LG software on this new TV for handling PC’s is the worst I have ever seen. I tried everything to make it work. Finally gave up and returned it and got this Samsung 50″ NEO TV because we love the 65inch version in our den and the picture quality is great. Right out of the box, the Samsung synced to the same setup the LG wouldn’t handle right and the Samsung has had NO problems with any resolution or refresh rate that I’ve thrown at it. Text looks great, colors are bright and HDR looks fantastic. Games look great on it! I’m done with LG. Samsung only from now on.

Works just like how it was pictured. The delivery guy was so nice and worked with me to get my tv delivered on time and in the right place.

I bought a Samsung QLED in late 2019. This 2024 Neo QLED TV seems to be a great improvement. The Alexa built-in feature comes in handy for searches and general questions. You can program Alexa to turn on only with a push of the remote’s mic button or have Alexa always on.

The TV allows you to use your smart phone as a remote.

The Samsung 50″ QN90D 4k QLED TV provides a beautiful picture with good contrast and colors. It was a day and night difference between an older LED and this QLED TV. There was a lot of “pop” to the screen image, at times it was too “vibrant” out of the box. After adjusting the available picture modes, (dynamic, standard, eco, movie or filmmaker’s, these modes provided different preset levels of brightness /contrast/etc), it looked more natural and pleasing. Besides the preset modes, settings can be manually adjusted as well. The Samsung provided adequate brightness for daytime viewing even with natural lighting coming from a large picture window source. The picture from the older TV was a little washed out with the same lighting conditions. Preferred settings for watching Amazon Prime movies varied from standard to dynamic depending on the content, and whether it was during the day or evening viewing. The “blacks” were very black and not grey. Sometimes, the darker scenes were too dark which hid picture details, so it was necessary to revise the picture mode accordingly. Most of our TV watching is done with some lighting in the room, so the brightness provided by this TV is more than adequate. Used a 4k Blu-ray player to watch the movie “No Time to Die”, a reference quality disk (in my opinion), showed a detailed picture, vibrant colors, contrast and adequate black levels. The movie looked great! The built-in speakers were good for voices and some of the mid-range sounds, but explosions lacked impact as there was no or minimal bass extension from these speakers. The title song of the movie sung by Billie Eilish sounded very good with good depth and presence from the built-in speakers. The remote and menu system took a little getting used to, similar to operating an Amazon Firestick but different from a Sony. Found it difficult to navigate initially, but after a week or two of use, it was not a problem. Overall, other than a few minor learning difficulties of the remote and features of the unit, very satisfied with the picture and build quality of the Samsung. Rated 5-stars.
