I use my new Ninja blender every day to make healthy smoothies. The extra large capacity is a plus and it is easy to clean. The 3 levels of super sharp blades makes quick work of frozen fruit and vegetables. It has plenty of power and the noise factor is much less than my previous blender. This is a quality blender for a fraction of the price of other products on the market.

This blender is awesome!! I love it!! It crushes ice perfectly for my smoothies and cold drinks. The single serving cups are wonderful for making smoothies too. It’s very easy to use. Having never used single serve cups before I was reluctant to try them, but now I use them more than the pitcher! It does make some noise, but it’s a blender! What did you expect??!!

Love this blender!!!!! Perfect for all my juicing needs and blends greats drinks and smoothies. Extremely easy to use, high performance and no leakage. You can’t do anything about the noise because hello it’s a blender lol. Over all would recommend.

Very pleased with how quickly this chops up the ice in my smoothies. Clean up is quick. Very sturdy! Noise is not overly loud compared to some blenders. My 28 yr old Hamilton Beach was louder and didn’t chop up the ice so well even before it reached the old age mark!

Every rare once in awhile you get a product that exceeds expectations, is well designed, and leaves nothing to be desired. AND THIS IS IT!!! With a very reasonable price point, it also seems to grind through anything!
Additionally it looks to be indestructible with a no nonsense easy-to-navigate control panel, unbreakable parts, and is super easy to clean. My only warning is be very careful with grinding component that is very sharp and detaches for easy cleaning – it should be carefully dried and put out of reach rather than left in drying rack where it can easily bite.

This blender doesn’t fool around. Holy moly! So much power! Makes smoothies so easy it’s crazy. Really does whip ice into snow. Super sharp blade. Love love love the way the lid fits, how the bottle snaps into the base and how ridiculously easy it is to clean, just be careful with the blade part. Did I mention it’s crazy sharp? Dishwasher safe. Worth every penny and feels so sturdy, It might be the last blender I’ll ever need! Surprisingly quiet for that much power.

I recommend the Ninja NJ601AMZ Professional Blender for anyone looking for a powerful and efficient blender capable of handling tough ingredients. The 1000-watt motor and large 72 oz pitcher make it ideal for smoothies, shakes, and frozen drinks, providing smooth and consistent results. However, the blender sometimes requires manual intervention to push down ingredients that get stuck at the top, which can interrupt the blending process. Including a tamper tool or improving the design to prevent this issue would significantly enhance the user experience. Despite this minor drawback, the blender is easy to use and clean, offering good value for its performance and features.

Nice blender…VERY heavy and LARGE…the only other Ninja I’ve had is the small size and I was very surprised at the size of this as you can see by the picture…but, it does a great job..the THREE blades on the central column do the job…has little arrows on it so you know where to put the top on the motor unit and where to place the top as well on the upper part..also has a pouring lip with a built in cover to stop anything coming out when mixing….overall, I think this is going to be a great addition to my kitchen.
Update: just used it for the first time..all went well but the square design of the upper container leaves a bit to be desired…had to use a scraper to push the material back down as it was getting stuck in the corners of the container…a round one would have made more sense…something I didn’t think about when I bought it…ah well…live and learn…

I’m a healthcare professional and bought this after researching the competition (i.e., "Vita-Mix). After reading through a gazillion comments and reviews (including CR who rates the Ninja #2) I opted for the lower priced Ninja. I have used mine twice a day for the 6 weeks I have owned it, I use it for making smoothies. I blend for health, I have a morning fruit and berry smoothie and I have an afternoon veggie smoothie. Blending is a really convenient way to get in all your servings of fruit and veggies each day without removing the (very important) fiber. So far, I love my Ninja. I have had stuff made with a Vita Mix in the past, but have never done a side by side comparison, though I can think of a few differences that are meaningful for me. One, the Vita Mix generates heat. They use it as a selling feature, that you can use it to make soups, but I like my smoothies cold, so it’s not something I look for in a blender. Secondly, Vita Mix seems to win in all the comparisons with Ninja on smoothness, or thoroughness of blending. The only reason I knocked one star off the Ninja is because I have noticed that my smoothies are a bit chewier after several weeks of blender use. I attribute that to the fact that Ninja relies (apparently) on their sharp blades, which naturally dull with use-especially when blending frozen berries or ice (which both of my smoothies contain). I’ve noticed a subtle change in texture, no chunks, but definitely not a fine blend. My understanding is that Vita Mix has dull blades that work for years, they do not rely so much on sharpness as they do on speed? The other thing (in addition to heat) that you get with a Vita Mix is aeration (foam), which I do not notice with the Ninja. My smoothies are full of fruit and veggies, so they are full of fiber. If you are okay with having some noticeable fiber in your blend over time, the Ninja is a great deal at about 1/5 the cost. If that matters to you, expect that you will have it in time (I started to notice it after about 25 blends). The blender cleans very easily and is simple to use. I’ve never had to remove the top to tamp stuff down and I use 3 cups of leafy greens like kale and arugula, as well as whole carrots, celery, apples, and never have chunks. Overall it’s a great machine. I cannot rate longevity since I’ve only had it 6 weeks, but so far I’m very pleased.
Update: It’s January 2018, I owned the Ninja about 3 months and ended up getting a Vita Mix. I still stand by my original review, but there is a difference. The Ninja starts out pretty great, but then over time things do no blend as well. I drink 2 smoothies a day (one veggie, one fruit), so I use it a minimum of 2x a day. Over time I started calling my Ninja smoothies: "grainies." The blades start out very sharp, and the technology depends on that, but they dull with use and it shows in the results. The Vita Mix does not depend on blade sharpness, but power, it pummels everything to pieces (itty bitty pieces). I am amazed at the flour I can make with it. Also, the heat i mentioned is not a factor but a feature. Most things are blended in less than a minute (35 seconds often), so nothing really gets warm unless you leave it on in order to generate heat. The Ninja is a good blender, especially for the cost, but I don’t think one can fairly compare it to a Vita Mix, it’s like comparing apples and oranges.

First let me say “Read the directions” Having said this, I love this blender. I have had so many over the years including one I ordered a couple of months ago that is now on the way to Goodwill. Big ones, little ones, personal size ones. I use one every day to make a almond milk, frozen fruit smoothie. I am 79 years old and have problems with ones that you have to fill and then turn upside down, push down to lock and then open up after … I was looking for one with the lid on the top that I could just pick up, take the lid off and drink. I bought this one because of the brand and knew that NInja makes a really good blender. I did not realize how big this one was. It worked great and made a great smoothie. However it was too big for my morning drink and decided to go back to Amazon and see if I could find a smaller one with enough power to make a good smoothie. NOW THIS IS WHERE READ THE DIRECTIONS COMMENT COMES FROM. On the base it says single serve, I kept pushing it and nothing happened. I get out the directions and finally read them. This blender comes with smaller cups!!! So now I can use the smaller cup that sits on the base and blends and then just drink! It is one that you have top turn upside down, but locking and unlocking is very easy and the lid twists off without a problem for my old hands……… so now I actually have 2 blenders, one for making larger quantity of things like salsa, shakes, etc AND ONE FOR MY MORNING SMOOTHIE. Spend the money and get this one, it is awesome and well worth it. It checks off all the box’s of what I was looking for. ENJOY!!
